I also want to say that this is a very important moment for all of us, Brody Dalle fans. Tonight (Feb 16) she returns to the stage after a 4 year hiatus (her last show was in March 2010 at Amplifier Bar, Perth, Australia) and I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who are sending me messages celebrating her return. I'm so happy!!! I really love reading all the messages from you and to see your opinions about the new single. You guys rock!!!!!

I hope that everyone have fun at the shows and represent the fans who, unfortunately, could not be there (like me - I'm from Brazil).

Brody Dalle will play at Sasquatch! Music Festival

Sasquatch! Music Festival, held in Washington, has released the lineup for its 2014 edition, which the first weekend will happen in May (23, 24 and 25) and weekend two in July (4, 5 and 6).

Brody Dalle is one of the names scheduled to play at the festival, along with Queens of the Stone Age, Haim, Foster The People, Foals, Bob Mould, Die Antwoord, Cage The Elephant and many others. She will play at Sasquatch! stage, on Sunday, May 25th.

Shirley Manson (Garbage) participa de novo clipe de Brody Dalle

Amigas de longa data, Brody Dalle (líder do The Distillers e Spinnerette) e Shirley Manson (vocalista do Garbage e ex-Angelfish) irão estreitar os laços de sua parceria e, automaticamente, irão testar os batimentos cardíacos de seus fãs neste ano. 

Depois da participação de Manson ter sido confirmada no primeiro álbum solo de Dalle, que tem previsão de lançamento para Abril, as duas amigas divulgaram no último sábado (25 de Janeiro) que voltaram aos estúdios para gravar, ao lado de Butch Vig, mais uma inédita e que deve marcar presença no próximo disco do Garbage. Entretanto, a parceria de duas das maiores representantes da música feita por mulheres não ficará apenas em áudio. 

O artista Anthony Lee Winn, da Deepcut Productions, revelou que o próximo videoclipe de Brody Dalle, no qual trabalha desde Dezembro do ano passado, contará com a participação de Manson: Eu estou super animado por colaborar com Brody Dalle neste vídeo. Ela e Shirley são parceiras e formam um grande time! Eu mal posso esperar para compartilhar o vídeo quando seu novo álbum for lançado, revelou Winn. Ele ainda contou: Brody e eu estamos trabalhando neste vídeo por quase 2 meses agora. Ele é bastante especial e muito representativo. Sua nova música é incrível e eu estou bastante orgulhoso do que estamos fazendo com os visuais.

Vale avisar que no próximo dia 16, Brody Dalle fará seu primeiro show como artista solo (no Alex’s Bar, na Califórnia) e que o mesmo contará com convidados especiais. Shirley Manson é um dos nomes esperados para a noite onde Dalle tocará músicas inéditas e revisitará seu trabalho com as bandas The Distillers e Spinnerette.

Brody Dalle's new music video will feature Shirley Manson

Anthony Lee Winn (from Deepcut Productions) is working with Brody Dalle on her new music video, as we already told you. He revealed that Shirley Manson (Garbage's frontwoman and one of Dalle's best friends) is also in the music video that Lee Winn is directing. He said:

"I'm super excited to be collaborating with Brody Dalle on this video. Her and Shirley are buddies and make a great team! I can't wait to share the video when her album is released."

"Brody and I have been working on this video for nearly 2 months now. It's very special and represents so much. Her new music is amazing and I am super proud of what we are doing with the visuals."

On Feb. 16, Brody Dalle will play her first show as a solo artist (at Alex's Bar, California) and it will feature special guests. Shirley Manson is expected for the night  in which  Dalle will play new songs and revisit her work with the bands The Distillers and Spinnerette.

Brody Dalle working on new music video

Yes!

Yesterday (Monday December 9) Brody Dalle met with the artist Anthony Lee Winn, from Deepcut Productions - recognized for creating illustrations, storyboards, characters from comic books, graphic novels and pop art.

They met at The 101 Coffee Shop where they talked about details of a music video for a new Brody Dalle song, which, according to Winn, is "amazing".

Apparently, the video will be done in animation, as you can see in the photo below, which Dalle adds own notes to the stories:

Brody Dalle trabalha em novo videoclipe

Ontem à tarde, terça-feira, 9 de dezembro, Brody Dalle se reuniu com o artista Anthony Lee Winn, da Deepcut Productions, produtora reconhecida por criar ilustrações, storyboards e criar personagens de histórias em quadrinhos, novelas gráficas, pop art e artes do gênero.

O encontro aconteceu no The 101 Coffee Shop onde conversaram sobre detalhes do videoclipe de Dalle para uma faixa inédita, que, segundo Winn, é "incrível".

Ao que tudo indica, o videoclipe será feito em animação, conforme é possível ver na foto abaixo, na qual Dalle adiciona próprias notas às histórias:

Brody Dalle visits Kerrang! office

During the stay in the UK - which was to accompany her husband (Josh Homme) and her friends of Sweethead and Queens of the Stone on tour, and attend the ceremony Classic Rock Awards - Brody Dalle was in the Kerrang! office yesterday, November 22.

The news was announced via Twitter by James McMahon, editor of the magazine. On the previous day, November 21, he even sent the following tweet:

I think Brody Dalle might be coming into the Kerrang! office tomorrow <looks out of the window, sighs>

Already on Friday, keeping his good humor, McMahon wrote:

Just so you know, Brody Dalle is coming into my office today <changes into suit, sprays breath freshner>

A few hours later, he celebrated:

HEY EVERYONE! BRODY DALLE IS IN THE FUCKING KERRANG! OFFICE!

Brody Dalle visita o escritório da Kerrang!

Aproveitando sua temporada no Reino Unido - onde foi para acompanhar seu marido (Josh Homme) e seus amigos do Sweethead e Queens of the Stone em turnê, além de participar da cerimônia Classic Rock Awards - Brody Dalle esteve ontem, 22 de novembro, no escritório da Kerrang!.

A notícia foi divulgada via Twitter por James McMahon, editor da revista. No dia anterior, 21 de novembro, ele chegou a enviar o seguinte tweet: "Eu acho que Brody Dalle talvez possa vir ao escritório da Kerrang! amanhã <olha para a janela, suspira>". 

Já na sexta-feira, mantendo o humor, McMahon escreveu: "Só para vocês saberem, Brody Dalle está vindo ao meu escritório hoje <trocando o terno, borrifando spray para o hálito>".

Algumas horas depois, ele comemorou: "HEY, GALERA! BRODY DALLE ESTÁ NO ESCRITÓRIO DA KERRANG!, PORRA!".

McMahon depois agradeceu Dalle pela visita: "Realmente adorei revê-la hoje, Brody, mesmo achando que você foi muito malvada comigo".

Brody Dalle assina contrato com nova gravadora

Brody Dalle, conhecida por ser vocalista das bandas The Distillers e Spinnerette, acaba de assinar contrato com uma nova gravadora. O selo se chama Caroline e faz parte da Universal Music, segundo o site Music Week. 

A cantora surgirá com seu álbum solo, que contará com participações mais que confirmadas de nomes como Shirley Manson (Garbage), Nick Valensi (The Strokes), Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions), Emily Kokal (Warpaint), Darren Weiss (ex-Girls) e Jessy Greene (famosa violinista), e com produção de Alain Johannes. 

Espera-se que Brody lance seu novo material no início do ano que vem. Antes do primeiro single sair, ela deverá fazer um anúncio oficial sobre seu novo projeto nas próximas semanas. A artista prometeu lançar ainda um mash up com as faixas do novo álbum, segundo a própria confirmou em resposta à pergunta feita pela nossa colaboradora do TMDQA!, Angélica Albuquerque. Brody já havia feito isso na época em que lançou o primeiro e único álbum da Spinnerette.

Divulgando já seu novo trabalho e relembrando algumas músicas antigas, Brody Dalle estará em turnê no ano que vem pela Austrália com ninguém menos que os caras do Nine Inch Nails e do Queens Of The Stone Age (banda de seu marido, Josh Homme). Serão oito shows no total, com início no dia 06 de Março em Sidney. As duas bandas apresentarão seus novos álbuns, lançados neste ano.

Brody Dalle signs to Caroline

Brody Dalle - The Distillers and Spinerette frontwoman, has signed to Caroline, Universal Music's new global label services company.

On the front of today's Music Week magazine is further details about new key appointments at the company.

Dalle is set to release new music early next year with details to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Working with producer Alain Johannes (Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys), she has collaborated on her forthcoming release with likes of Shirley Manson (Garbage), Nick Valensi (The Strokes), Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age), Jessy Greene (Violinist, been out with Foos), Emily Kokal (Warpaint), Tyler Parkford (Mini Mansions) with Darren Weiss (Papa) and Hayden Scott (AWOLNATION) on drums.

Dalle, who presented Manic Street Preachers’ James Dean Bradfield with an awards at last night’s Classic Rock Awards has also confirmed tour dates in Australia in March, supporting Queens Of The Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails.

Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age & Brody Dalle to tour together

The Frontier Touring Company are thrilled to announce that two of the world’s most influential bands of the last decade, Nine Inch Nails and Queens Of The Stone Age, will join forces for a massive double headline tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2014!

In what could arguably be described as one of the biggest double bills to ever reach our shores, QOTSA and NIN, joined by special guest Brody Dalle, will kick off this explosive tour at Sydney Entertainment Centre on Thursday March 6th 2014 and continue on around the country visiting Newcastle, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch.

With the first headline band on stage being decided each night by the toss of a coin, fans will want to make sure they’re at the ready for a big night from the minute doors open.

Queens Of The Stone Age are possibly the single most critically acclaimed hard rock band of the 2000s. No strangers to Australian audiences, frontman Josh Homme declared earlier this year that “Everybody who knows me knows that Australia is my home away from home”.

Nine Inch Nails are considered a pioneer in the industrial music movement and have been highly influential in the evolution of electronic music.
